Edited that a bit... the BIO part was too dark, now it's too bright...

Way too thick on the brush size, I'm gonna have to run another lap of outlining, but here's what came so far...
Scortone, Rock-Poison. When you think it's just a rock, think again...

Just tried texturing... worked for the rock, but the head, erm?

Don't rely on texture fully though. It's more a guideline than anything.

So... uhh... its coloring is done, but it lacks WAY too much details. The face... (if scorpions do have faces) ; The claws are like, attached together... :/ Not sure if this will make it  by today or I will have to train a little more...

It's not bad rock. Not bad at all.

Scortone are naturally sleepy, taking long sleeps lasting up to months
of sleeping while it is embedded in the sand. Travelers, however
tend to step into their rock-shaped "shells", driving them to panic and sting,
unleashing their deadly poison. They like to dig deeper, where their
shells grow sturdier while it endures the heavy weight of the sand
and the heat of the deserts.


So... um... there ya go, my first "finished" monster... the only reason why I stopped... well, it's a funny story... I overused the burn tool, cause I was bored, and before I realized it, I could not undo it anymore XD The last time I saved was when it had no textures yet. At all... so... it's been going well anyway, I just ended it right there XD now my .xcf file is horrible ;-;
So... next monster?

fairly muscular arms *should be able to see at least some muscle definition in them*

Same, actually. I just found a way to make it better... but most likely it will destroy the lineart as a whole... so... continuing this pattern! *looks for reptile texture*
