Vampiric Weapon not working

The title pretty much explains it. The vampiric weapon is not restoring any health on attacks.

it only gives back hp after battle is over and also it is suppose to only work with physical move yet I used dragon fire a special move and restored HP.

well both not possible

i also test and gives hp when you hit enemy. battle does not have to be over

also not working with special moves

well doesn't for me and I'm using fritz which is a physical move according to game

Vampiric weapon does work. Thing is, it can only restore however much health opponent has. Say you manage to do 100 damage. If the opponent only has 20, you can only drain 20.
