I like B more as well 
Was going to say it gives it more a spectral appearance rather than just being on fire but Dei beat me to it lol 
Also the black bones make it look like the monster died in a fire (singed bones) and is now forever reliving the moment it died.

I prefer version B, the blue one.
I would want Spectrorb to assassinate key people for me, and it won't be able to assassinate anyone if everyone can see him. With that bright red flame, he'll stick up like a sore thumb. If Spectrorb is colored blue, he'll blend in with the nighttime sky, and it'll be easier for him to assassinate my targets.
