Monsters with Moves that will not drop an enemy below 1HP
#1
If you are like me, then you love to catch any halfway decent monster that crosses your path. If you are like me, then you also like to be as efficient as possible. So, with that in mind, I am attempting to compile a list of monsters who have the capability of learning "moves that will not drop an enemy below 1HP." Below you will find that list. Smile

You'll also note that for convenience I've included, within brackets next to the monsters name, the move and the level at which it is learned or the MT# and the name of the move. Below the name of the monster, and also in brackets, are the relevant details about that move. Hopefully this will allow you to make a sound judgement in choosing monsters for this purpose.

NOTE: This list is not currently exhaustive. Please leave a comment if you know of one that has been missed.

Big Grin I'm sure there are quite a few, I haven't got the time to look through all the emissaries to find them though.

Grimarrow.  Its a level 9 fighting move, Careful Jab.

You can also google search if you know a specific move, so I google searched Restrained Hail and here are the monsters I got in addition to the monsters below: (you do have to double check the moveset but its pretty reliable)
Roivile, Polnorso, [Icebragled], Mythulu, [Mantice], and 3 ancients, Jaghoul, Arctle, and Drausoleum.

So once you find all of the moves that can leave 1 HP, which are searchable, you can use a site search in google to find out all of the monsters in the game that know the move.

Edit: Having trouble finding the link for a list of all moves in game Undecided

Edit Edit: I might as well add another emissary to the list, as awesome as Grimarrow is....
Chain Lash-Zardion (Emissary)

Edit Edit Edit: In an attempt to not show favoritism between the two lists, I also put some monsters there ;-).

Let the competition begin for the best list for 1HP moves :-)

Thanks for the help Randy and Uri!

This really wasn't intended to be a competition... lol... I previously was unaware of the other list, and when I had asked in chat if people new of any monsters with this move type I only got a few named (and there were veteran players responding). So, I figured it'd be good to develop a resource that could be linked too, when that question comes up again.

As you also might notice, I'm looking to include a lot more info than the other list has...

cool, tom, but if angsy's bright shock were to leave the monster with 1 hp and confuse it, it would kill it

Yep, that's why I included that in the description! Smile It's also priority -1, so generally it'll hit last. If I understand the sequence of events correctly, you'd be able to throw your monster box before the confused monster would have a chance to hurt itself.

At any rate, it's good to know the move is available.

I really do like the layout of this guide

List updated (Thanks Cinnamonspider!)

Question: I'm only listing final transforms. Spookuff (for example) is an earlier transform of Asylooms, would others find it helpful if these were included as well?

Also, feel free to let me know of any monsters/moves missing here. This is meant to be a community resource.
