Invitational Legends Guild Arena Leader Qualifier Tournament
Rules Update: The round robin portion of the tournament ends May 26th. I only have game results from a few players and will make a decision on how to determine the victor of the tournament by May 26th.
Currently Mlinka has the highest score, so I suggest that players interested in winning the tournament:
a. Play Mlinka
b. Play the other players in the tournament
(and reply in the thread regarding results).
Remember it is best of 5.
If you are having trouble finding someone to play,
PM people that are close to your tournament ID number (1-8) given below.
[If your tournament ID number is 5, PM the players that have tournament IDs 4 and 6,etc].
Please note that Tournament Player ID 8 is considered "next to" 1.
Registration is closed.
Participants:
1.Arlaxeon
2.rex2
3.staff
4.Mlinka
5.Skunai/Snorlax47
6.Ashenator
7. Lotus215
8 .Chaotic Inferno
Since we have an unexpected vacancy...
For those that want to be a Legends Guild Arena Leader, we will have a round robin tournament of four players to decide the new Arena Leader.
Rules:
Each match is best of 5. You get one point for each win you get over your opponent.
[You do need to play five games with each opponent. So since you will be playing seven players, the maximum score is 35 points.]
It's a round robin, so when a person in the tournament is online that you haven't played before, just play them when they're ready.
Players should play at least two to three players per week or otherwise notify the tournament director in advance.
Format:
There are NO restrictions. All moves and monsters are allowed.
Protocol:
Please post results of your match in the thread when you're done.
It is recommended but not required to screen shot the result on the PVP battle board.
Players are allowed to make changes in their team between games of a match.
(For clarity of terminology, you play a match of five games against each player in the tournament).
For games 2-5 of the match, the winner of the last game should send the PVP offer to the loser of the last game.
Players can agree that a game end in a draw. (Both players receive 1/2 points).
Knowingly taking advantage of PVP bugs is forbidden. If it happens, screen shot it. If you can't resolve a solution with the other player, contact me and I will make a ruling. Information about how the bug impacted the match is very relevant in making a ruling as a tournament director.
(If I make a ruling, either the result will stand, you will both receive half a point for the games in question, you will have to replay the game/match, or in exceptional circumstances a player could be forfeited)
If there are any questions about the rules, feel free to PM me or post them here.
The Winner:
The winner will attain the status of Legends Guild Arena Leader, will choose a theme for his/her arena and get a badge to give to Legends Guild Members that defeat him/her. (Arena Leaders need to be active players in the game of course)

(This is not the big tournament that is open to everyone that we are doing in the near future).
The invites will be decided by the end of the week :-).

Edit: @ Staff Just check back in a few days regarding the final decision regarding invites :-)

I also increased the number of slots to 5, because I did the math wrong.
Two players per week means we can have 5 participants if we want to finish in two weeks :-)

The tournament technically starts Sunday.
Make sure you read the Rules/Format/Protocol sections.
It's a Round Robin Tournament so when you see a player in the tournament that you haven't played before, just play them.
Players need to play 2-3 people per week :-).
Post if you have any questions.
-Uri
Edit: If a player wishes to start before Sunday, if both players agree it is OK.

Generally my standard rule of operating is that if a deadline passes and it is not an inconvenience, we can work around the deadline ;-)
