If I were to teach a monster 2 status moves that raised the same stat with the same effect such as..

Raising the defense stat by 5 stages and cannot go up anymore.

If I had 2 moves for 1 monster, will it go up 10 stages?

to my knowledge a stat can only be raised 5 stages max regardless the amount of moves a monsters has that can raise the stat.
