By creating an account at MonsterMMORPG, you agree to remain PG and follow any and all rules associated with the game.

General Game Rules:

  1. Using any sort of bot to farm monsters, gold, etc. is strictly prohibited.
  2. Buying or selling gold, monsters, and/or items for real money is strictly prohibited. Those found selling for real money will be permanently banned from the game immediately.

    Those caught buying will be required to donate an equal amount to the game in order to avoid being permanently banned as well.

  3. Usernames that contain curse words, inappropriate language, references to drugs and alcohol, and/or offensive slurs are prohibited. Users with such usernames will be warned and given 24 hours to either change their username or create a new account. If the user refuses to change their name, their account will be deleted.
  4. Ingame profile avatars should not contain sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate imagery.

  10. Speak the language assigned to each chat (do not go into German chat and speak Turkish, for example). World chat is the only chat where every language is allowed.
  11. Some topics of discussion are sensitive and prone to creating arguments. These topics are not to be discussed. An example of one such topic would be religion.
  12. If a Moderator advises that a topic of discussion be dropped, it must immediately be dropped.

No warning before ban violations:

  1. No sexual commentary or harassment.
  2. No talk or mention of the “Xat” website and/or chat network.
  3. No jokes or comments involving (but not limited to) sexism, racism, homophobia, and/or xenophobia.
  4. Do not circumvent a ban by logging into another account.
If you are banned three or more times due to violation of the rules, you may completely lose your chat privileges.

Moderator Rules:

  1. Moderators (GAs, SCMs, and CMS) are to follow the rules at all times. Failure to do so will result in loss of the GA/SCM/CM title. You are allowed only one warning.
  2. Moderators are asked to keep themselves updated on any and all changes in the rules.
  3. Abusing power in any way, even as a joke, is not allowed.
  4. A CM’s job is to ensure the chat rules are followed while they are online. Failure to do your job can result in a chat ban. Repeated failures may end in the loss of the CM title.
  5. A GA and SCM’s job is to ensure chat rules are followed by both regular users and the CMs themselves. SCMs and GAs are to monitor CM’s ability to mod the chat.
Other:

  1. If you lend gold, monsters, items, etc. to a player and they do not return them, Moderators are not responsible for your poor judgement. Use caution when lending to other users.
  2. Moderators are not responsible if your account is fished and hacked because you used a link posted in chat or by PM.
  3. You are responsible for your account’s activity. Blaming a friend, family member, etc, for misbehaving while using your account is not an acceptable excuse and you will be held accountable.

How to Contact a Moderator:

You can PM moderators at any time to ask questions or voice any sort of concern you have. When no moderators are in chat, users are encouraged to screenshot and/or report rule-breakers to help keep chat clean. If you disagree with how a moderator has been acting, you can PM another moderator to get a second opinion as well.

To PM a mod (via chat) click the first button under the mod’s name. You can also PM them by going to their profile page and clicking “Send a Private Message.”

Some rules don't require warnings. Some are really that strict.

If a user is chat banned three times for 3 offenses of similarity, you will be reported and you have a chance of losing your chat privileges. Once you lose chat privileges, you will not be able to chat. Abide by the rules please, sometimes a moderator will let it pass by deleting your posts. If you post the same thing that was once deleted, it will result in a chat ban. Continue posting it and you may be reported to the administrator.

These will be updated with more rules to come. If anyone is seen breaking these rules and are reported to a moderator or CeFurkan, you will be dealt with. If a Chat Master, Super Chat Master, or Game Master are not present in the chat and someone is breaking the chat rules, take a screenshot, remember their username and report them here in the forum. Rule #6 : Any swear word is not tolerated. **** is considered swear censoring, we don't want to see it. The word "Dam" even though spelled wrong is a swear word. If we catch you using it, you will be given a warning. After the warning, a ban from chat will follow if you do it again.




If a user is having an argument with a [cm] and the user believes the [cm] is not correct in their judgement, the user should consult another [cm] as a third party.

Moderators are not to take sides in an argument unless you are absolutely sure which is wrong. Moderators are supposed to be a neutral party.
With the amount of [cm]s in the English chat, moderators should not gang up on a user. It's intimidating and it would seem that you only back up each other because of status. That's wrong.
If a user is still unsure about the situation they are in, gather screenshots and post them in forum under "Report A User". The situation would be taken out of chat and into forum.

MonsterMMORPG reserves the right to remove any content that they feel does not adhere to the spirit of the game and/or the forums.

Please follow the MonsterMMORPG Community Guidelines when participating in our Community. Failure to do so may result in temporary suspension or permanent banning from the MonsterMMORPG forums.

b. Backseat Moderation:
I. Do not expect an instantaneous response from the moderators. Moderating the forums is not their entire life. Report a topic once, and wait for a moderator's action. If 24 hours have passed from your original report and you feel that it has not been taken care of, you may report the post/topic again.

8. Account Penalties

a. The forum moderators shall have full discretion to address any behavior that they feel is inappropriate, which includes, but is not limited to, failure to abide by the Community Guidelines.
b. If a player is found to have engaged in inappropriate behavior or violated the Community Guidelines, they will receive one or more Account Penalties against their forum and/or game account including:
I. Be given a warning.
1. Each warning will raise the user's warning level 5%-10%. When a user's warning level reaches 100%, they will automatically be banned.
II. Having a "Moderator Preview" requirement temporarily or permanently attached to their forum account
1. This will cause all new posts created by the forum account holder to be invisible to the general community until individually approved by a forum moderator.
III. Be temporarily suspended from the forum.
IV. Be permanently banned from the forum.
c. Depending on the severity of the infraction, MonsterMMORPG reserves the right to block access to the forums for any length of time up to and including account closure.
d. If your account is suspended under these circumstances, you may lose access to your forum account for the duration of the suspension and/or the balance of any prepaid period, without any refund.
e. Repeated, or severe, violations of the Community Guidelines will result in a permanent banning from the forums.
f. MonsterMMORPG reserves the right to evaluate each incident on a case by case basis.

b. Do not spam or troll
I. This includes:
1.Creating multiple topics or posts on the same subject in one or more forums boards.
2.Excessively communicating the same or similar phrases or gibberish.
3.Posting posts not adding content to the discussion at hand (+1, lol, etc).
If you wish to state that you agree with a previously made statement, please don't just post '+1', but post reasoning as to why you agree with that statement, or make some elaboration upon it.

Recently there have been a number of users trying to impersonate moderators and administrators, especially in the chats. Remember, staff members ALWAYS have a specific color for their rank, [CM]NAME or [SCM]NAME, mostly.

If it looks like:

Then it is an impersonator, and they should be banned.

Remember, it must be the colored text [CM] or [SCM], not <CM> OR <SCM> OR <STAFF>.

STAFF MEMBERS WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD!

Passwords

Get a secure password. Write it down if you need to. NEVER give it away, even to a trusted friend or member of staff!!!

Get a long and secured password, atleast 8 words would be FINE! If there are more, even better.

NEVER LET ANYONE ELSE USE YOUR ACCOUNT. This includes brothers/sisters/cousins/etc. If you are caught account sharing, you will most likely be punished!

Don't leave MonsterMMORPG logged in if you leave your computer, or are in a public place e.g. library or school. Always log out when you finish, even if it's only to go for a few seconds. It's much better to lose a few seconds typing your password again than losing all your items/monsters when you are hacked!

Inappropriate language

MonsterMMORPG is a family-friendly game and we have some very young members. Being aggressive, swearing or talking about explicit topics is NOT allowed, and we will punish people we catch doing it.

Scamming

Always be very careful in trades and such. If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

Cheating programs

No such programs exist - there are no cheats or hacks in MonsterMMORPG. These are designed to place keyloggers and viruses onto your computer to steal your password and account.

Final notice

Unfortunately, very few people are actually going to look at this post. If you are, good job. If you are going to do what it says, even better. Try to persuade your friends to get secured passwords. If they don't have them, pester them until they get them safe. Remind people that there are mod impersonators and such, and not to give their passwords away.
