To get that discuss rolling.
I don't agree on them being ground.

Cause 
1. They share verey reptilian characteristics. 
Reptilians like crocodiles, snakes, and even komodos are still rather affiliated with water than they are with ground.
2.Their actual designs can be explained by Water aswell.

A) Korosverse: Thick Body plating- water pressure. Nothing requires thick plating more than high end pressure deep down the ocean.
What kind of animals are also known for their platings?
Crocodiles n Alligators. 

B) Minedrao obvious gator and croco type scales and it's tail is a flosk.
On top it's very reminiscent of our good 'ol Monster Kind godzilla.

C) Jelenight everything obviously screems abyss more than Sahara, no?
Added it's smooth body to reduce resistance while being underwater moving.

That being said, i haven't seen any mole with bodyplatings, nor any insects or worms with large hands n feets for digging?
Mammals dig. And their hands n feets aren't bigger for that.
Invalid base imo.
The big feets obviously part of all Kaijus.

Therefore I'll stick with their primary type should be water. 
Additionaly kaiju means "strange beast", i ain't seeing anything strange on the ground.
The strangest creatures known to mankind come either from the deepsea
Or caves.
So it is basically bound to being Water or Dark as the commonly shared typing.

Generally speaking while we have the chance to do it, we can  also make the MOST use by not only selecting a Typing which is fitting to the Monster, but also useful.
Example Ground being offensively great. Koro being offensive.
Water and Dark both having great stat destruction moves  and heavy hitting ones, Jelenight being a lousy Wall etc. Etc.

As for name suggestions, I'll come back to it later.


Jelenight : Hachubyss.  Huchurui meaning Reptil in japanese. + Abyss.
Korosverse : kyufolum. Kyofu meanen something like scare in japanese. + solum, Latin for soil. 
Minedrao : Suinatotsu. Suibotsu being underwater in japanese. + Venator being hunter in Latin.
I obviously went with japanese, since kaiju is Japanese. And imo nothing sounds more strange than abominated japanese words. 

I agree with all of that...well said. I'll see what it looks like if I change the primary typing from ground to water, as it does make more sense to make them shared water types.
