On twitter/instagram, when you put @[username], the person's username is hyperlinked to it. I simply suggest that, if its possible, the same be done here. (Both in game and in forum)

quotes just take something someone says and shows you are refering to it. with tagging, you can mention someone who hasn't mentioned anything in that thread, mayybe hasn't even read it, and they'll get a notification/pm of it ala FB
