Maybe...if its possible, could you format/program the forum so that each user can set his own to a personal theme?
Be prepared for a hella long list guys.
- User Groups should finally be a thing. Donators should get special stuffs.(personal user titles that get tagged on by a certain mod/whatever that had permissions to do that stuff. Back room of awesomeness etc)
- Postbits?
- Multiple forum themes that users can choose form. This way, everyone can be happy.
- Forum promos.
- Vbulletin would be cool. They have some nice features, but it'd be expensive.

Well I have a website I host that is an all inclusive thing. Get unlimited forums, unlimited pages, TONS of features, and it is relatively cheap. Really its an amazing deal just the support sucks. Will pm you CeF with some details
I would advise against vBulletin. Yes, it is great, but I find it hard to justify the price when there are free and open source alternatives that are as good with a larger mod community.
One request that I would have is to link the user table for the game with the user table for the forum.
Also, I am the minority on the idea of letting users having a theme selection ... I find it much more professional (as someone who has years of web development experience) to have a theme that matches the in-game design and force it on everyone.
The problem with having one theme and forcing it on everyone is that users who don't like the look installed will simply not use the forum so they don't have to look at it. Have a default theme that matches the game, okay. but give users some choice so it seems like their opinions are valued, and so they have some spice in life.
CeFurkan, could we add personal font colors? this way user's could set a default color that they want, and if people don't want to see a rainbow, they can have an option in the CP to not see custom colors.

what's the range of possible forum options as for hosts? Giving us three or four to choose from out of the possibilities might get some people involved, as I seem to be the only person interested in this.

I feel like this may generate a heated discussion if we try to let people choose. Probably prolonging the time it takes. And the people that didnt get what they wanted might get upset. Im not trying to step on any toes, but its simply human nature.
I respect your opinion being weighed.
Popular demand would allow the most people to have the satisfaction. As only a small group of people will actually continue to use the forum, this allows us to get the most accurate opinion. Plus, we all know people just roll with what cefurkan does anyways
I'm just going to post my opinion and overall here so people know that I have checked this thread out.
Honestly, I'm not really worried about it. As long as I know what I'm doing on forum, where things are, how to post, how to explain this and that, then I'm good with it.
New themes, personal options, bla bla. I'm not really worried about them much.
That is just my opinion.

Personally, I wasn't even aware that there was an issue with the current forum, I thought it worked just fine
