Thats like saying you draw your monsters by throwing crayons on the ground. You don't right? You take alot of time drawing and making it good, just like how dubstep puts each little wub in the correct order.

ghost, basically, I take 10 minutes drawing a fail creature that no1 cares to reply about, dubstep requeires no thought, just the ability to mess up music with a computer, ever hear skrillex, there's a song called "everybody die" or something like that

Really? I respect that you have an opinion, but.. really? "Mess with music on a computer" .-.

I mean, Dubstep is music. It is not messed up. Some people find it extremely lovable, but some hate it. And thats OK with me, but
saying that you mess up music is a harsh way to say you don't like Dubstep. Isn't it way easier to say: "i don't like dubstep" and get done with it? As ghost said, you clearly don't know how to create dubstep. I am not saying i am any better than you at that point, because i have really NO idea how to make such kind of music, but i know for sure, because a good friend of mine work with music, that dubstep is hard work. and it takes time, to make it sound good, for those who like it. You don't think skrillex use 5 minutes to mash up some songs? i would bet my shirt he has spent hours on hours making his music, so his fans still will love him for what he does. so my advice is, don't say something unless you have something good to say.

Thats what i ment. i am just not the best at saying things the way i want it to sound, and i sometimes think people understands what i mean. I see now, on what i wrote though, that it is really hard to understand lol... Anyways, i don't say critique is a bad thing. but the way Night wrote it, made me somewhat.. i dunno.. i just felt there was something wrong Smile

Yes, you're right to feel that. The "something" is that he wasn't sensible. His assertion (dubstep requires no thought) could have been perfectly valid... but he didn't cite any evidence published by third party sources to prove this.

So, all things considered, everything Phoenix claimed wasn't valid at all.

Even for an opinion, it wasn't sound.

Ever actually take music in the studio and mess with it? People take hours just to get a ten second clip of notes right. Axl rose spent hours upon hours in the studio during the Use Your Illusion albums to get the synthesizers to sound exactly like strings and horn instruments. Pete townshend likewise took a few MONTHS to get the Lifehouse Concept of his synthsizers and other instruments just right.

my brother recorded a cd of me 8 years ago in about half an hour...im sure a professional could easily mess around with music in less than that.
