By June 2012, as Venus leaves the evening sky to enter the morning sky, this brightest of planets will pass right in front of
the sun, to stage one of the rarest of predictable astronomical phenomena: a transit of Venus across the sun’s face.

An interesting event
My eyes are very sensitive to light... And since my darn sunglasses just broke, I can barely look into the sky, much less even vaguely aim my phone at the darn sun and look at the picture. Feh.
The next transit of Venus. Is... After 105 years. That's a fact

Well I saw it a while ago... Just looks like on big white ball with a black spot... >.<
I read that somewhere. ^ And I don't see what the big deal is, unless you're very sentimental, and you have to see it cause it's not happening for another century. But still you might as well just see it anyway. BRAGGING RIGHTS!

It's actually a 'big deal'. If you had the chance to go to a local telescope or watch online previews with the
telescope, it's really amazing.. I honestly don't know how you can be so careless; I didn't imagine anyone
being so obsessed to see this that he'd go blind just to see this.. if for you it's only a regular black spot
then don't even bother to try to see it..

Anyway, it's over so I'll lock this thread
