Well, seeing as the npcs are coming out, so are the ancient gems, right? Most people assume that the gems are badges, so I was thinking that maybe the gym leaders are based by their type specialty, and that the gems should have names.

I think Miasma Gem should be the Venom Gem Just a suggestion
yeah, i couldn't think of a good ice one, so i was sorta stuck. miasma means pollution, so i thought poison=pollution?
viper, i think the ice one is perfect. and i like the poison name, its just about perfect for it,
idk i'd prolly change the dragon one to drake gem or scale gem.
demise doesnt fit the dragon thing,
but thats just me

So the name for the gem of the dragon supports the knights who killed dragons? A bit backwards? o.o If anything chivalry is the exact opposite of the characteristics of a dragon

It sounds too similar to honour gem too, and all of the other gems are named after something directly related to the type of gem, so shouldn't the dragon name be related to dragons and not knights?
Well, when u do something for the honor of it, u do it because u want to. if u are chivalrous however, u do it because it is right and because you have to, so it doesn't sound so similar.
i was also wondering if there was going to be some elites or ultimate trainers.

It's more of an acronym. Each letter stands for a word.
