Also, glad to see it was of use. Good luck on your future of gimping. Once you get the hang of Gimp, know all the basics and stuff, move on to photoshop to where you can reach higher levels.

the colour is just a little too bright in the first one

The concept of the banner is a good one just tone down the saturation a little and refine the image so i could stand out some and use use different colors between the image and background so everything wont be the same tone/shades.

These are nice ^-^ I use GIMP myself - I make banners for sites, signatures, avatars, and posting tables for forum-based rp sites, among other things. My true profession is a writer, though. Great work!
