Okay, I am very confused about the structure of a mall.
One day.. Or several days.. Several months.. years.. Well, ya get the point.
I went to the mall to go shopping (of course) and I came in on the first floor. I came in from the outside world where I was able to see cars parked, the blue sky, and other buildings surrounding the mall.
So ya know, I'm walking through the mall. I take the escalator or stairs up to the second floor which means I am leveling from ground level to a level in mid-air where there should be no exits.
On the second floor, there are exits to the outside world. I go out the outside world and see cars parked, the blue sky, and surrounding buildings.
Usually on the second floor of buildings, in order to go outside civilized which means not by jumping out the window, you would have to descend to the first floor. Why is it that a mall is different?
Apparently with a mall, the first floor and second floor are on equal footing. Is the mall slanted? On the outside, it does not seem so. It looks perfectly straight up. When walking, I do not see people sliding on the floor.
Please help me with this mystery!
