TBH, i really doubt that pokemon is gonna start doing plot twist out of nowhere, thus why i doubt that he's ash's dad.

Ash made it into top 8 of Unova league.

Ash helped his friend register at the last moment. Ash lost to that friend haha.

That was just a weak attempt of a Pokemon League.
The writers put no effort into this at all.
