if the gray is the face in that fire creature, make it look better and i will consider it a legendary

the first one color scheme is good and looks like it could be a good monster if improved on a bit the second well like you said fail

It'd be better to draw out on paper, once drawn with no mistakes you outline it darker to find the edges.

Then use paint, gimp, or photoshop to color it.

i guess so but it looks good either way
