It would make things more complicated if ancient gems also triggered the access to maps.

The Elite Trainer Squad whatever... Superior 6 whatever.. <_< Yea that's a good idea. Ofc you have to beat the ETS whatever.. to gain access to another region, also, yea allowing them to give you miroushon.

Alright. I'll update the OP saying that ancient gems allow you to catch whatever legend without a block.

it's so people actually EARN the right to catch certain legends and the gyms test them to see if they're worthy to get them.

Always thought of this actually. Like if ever Lunardian stays in Crow Mesa, you need the Gem from Arena Path (Crane Coast). Like that?
