Irishell- it's so ugly.


His shell'l be rainbow! He's right type, and evolves into 1 of 7 different birds, based on the colors of the rainbow...
His feet look strange, I know.

Here, and thx rock, so Henrie, I need 1 question answered- I have Irishell as a single layer, correct? How do I place another layer behind that so if I accidentally color over the black lines, it won't show? I'm gonna be coloring the flat image soon.

New Layer at the Layers window. If you have it closed, Ctrl + L. New layer is like the new file icon, it's at the window. Or, better yet, right click the window. New layer would be there.

I try to color, but the Adjust Color Balance keeps popping up every time my pen touches the tablet, and it won't go away.

You must be on the Color Balance tool or something; change tool then... I didn't even know that there was such thing.

Right Click Layer -> Add Alpha Channel -> Use Magic Wand tool -> Delete all White areas on the parts where you will color -> Go to lower tab -> Colorize!

I like this concept, though. Branch evolutions and birds make me happy. So this is a win. 8D

If Rock's idea doesn't work, you can always cheat like I do.

Create two new layers. One white. One Transparent.

Arange them:

Lineart
Transparent
White

Set the modes:

Lineart - Multiply
Transparent - Normal (Default)
White - Normal (Default)

Color on the transparent layer.

I know that. But I liked to think that I've seen all of the art threads here, and as such - seen all the concepts and can recognize them when they crop up. A good deal of Shock's ideas seem to have slipped me by. :x Whoops.
