Though so-called one of the best emmisary sweepers, Dracloud takes skill and LOTS of practice in order to master. Most of the PvP masters use recommend Dracloud for beginners because they are easily found and caught. Dracloud, in order to be unstoppable, needs to use Drake Dance (for physical attack natured) at least once. Training a Dracloud will be one of the best decisions you can make in this game, because he is fairly useful in most PvP matches (due to the ALMOST-unstoppable power of Drake Claw, which the enemy may counter using evasion, but you have the drake dance-sky slash combo for that.) Overall, Dracloud is a monster definitely worth catching and training.
They've gotten better at their levitation tricks, but with their long bodies most Simoly will simply slither across the ground. Too much effort. lazy things.
Simoly is a very strong monster who can deal tons of damage in a PvP match in just one move. Basically, Simoly is best with the nature quantum due to it having a very low speed base stat. Many people, apprentices or PvP masters alike, make mistakes of training a hallucination natured one instead of a quantum one. It is not recommended, because as stated before, Simoly has a really low base for the speed stat. and may be the cause of defeat during PvPs (low base speed stat, the enemy usually strikes first, killing you instantly) Simoly is a good PvP monster and may substitute the best of emmisary sweepers like dracloud. Simoly is a recommended monster to be in the party, because of it needing no steroids to battle which will give the player a huge advantage. People say that his final and fourth evolution, Odani will have a high base speed stat. They are wrong. Odani also has a low base speed stat. Overall, quantum is still the best.

Welcome to a new weekly format i am starting today - Dans thoughts!

In those threads i want to share some of my thoughts on different topics regarding monster mmorpg.
While some of you might agree or not on those thoughts, i considered some of them to be helpful for people not playing the game for too long and interested in mechanical or strategical things.

The first threads topic will be wall natures - but first off, i'll explain what a wall is and does in my opinion.

What is a wall, and what does it do?

Walls are monsters with high defensive stats that can take quite some punishment. Naturally you want them to be very durable and have high defensive stats, focusing on Hitpoints, Defense and Special Defense. Many of them have abilitys that compliment the role of a wall (like shield / guard abilitys or regenerating of some means), along with status moves or buffs to bring them into a position where they can be a thread to your enemys monsters. Having few weaknesses helps with surviving against a bigger variety of monsters as well.

Wall natures - which are good, and why?

I will point out the most common used, and in my opinion best wall natures here. I will divide them into two tiers - the A natures and the B natures.
While the A natures almost always will be good, the B natures might have little drawbacks or apply only to very few specific monsters with certain movesets.
Rating a Nature B in this category does not mean it is a bad nature - just not the best nature for a wall maybe.

Tier A: ( Attack / Defense / Special Attack / Special Defense / Speed / HP)

Blockhead: -6 / +6 / -6 / +6 / 0 / 0

Debonair: -4 / +3 / -4 / +3 / -2 / +4

Discreet: -3 / +3 / -3 / +3 / -4 / +4

Endurable: -2 / +3 / -4 / +3 / -3 / +3

Tier B: ( Attack / Defense / Special Attack / Special Defense / Speed / HP)

Delicate: -2 / +2 / -1 / +2 / -2 / +1

Guarded: -2 / +3 / -3 / +3 / -1 / 0

Mirage: +4 / +1 / -6 / +1 / 0 / 0

Sedate:	-1 / +2 / -3 / +2 / -2 / +2

Sentinel:	-2 / +2 / -2 / +2 / 0 / 0

Wise: -3 / +3 / -3 / +3 / -3 / +3

Now, as you may or may not have noticed, i did not include natures like Momentum or Quantum which can act as a more specialized wall against 1 type of attack, since i wanted to go through general wall natures, not the very specific ones. For anyone wondering why Mirage is a B nature in my list - while it is a great overall physical attack nature,
it hardly makes for a wall with just +1 in Defense / special Defense and no HP boost.

On to the explanation!
Out of tier A, Discreet and Debonair are very similar in the stat buffs they give. Discreet is a tad more usefull if you go with a monster that has some sort of offensive buff ( knife dance, clear mind) as the malus to offensive stats is a little smaller. Debonair on the other hand has a much smaller malus to speed, which, in most cases, won't help anyways, except you'd have a monster with drake dance or any other form of speed buff. If you really want to go with a physical attacker that has knife dance or something alike though, endurable might be your best choice since it has the least ammount of negative effect on your attack stat. always keep in mind buffs increase a percentage of your base stat - so every bit more there helps ending up with a high buffed endstat!
Blockhead does not provide any health bonus, but has really high defensive values and no speed drawback - you can compete there with Mirages, Verves, Quantums and a lot of other common natures to go first.

In the B tier, we have natures with generally less of a defensive boost that can fill for special roles. Delicate and Sentinel e.g. are the only really applicable natures for a wall that wants to end up with a good special Attack after buffing. Sedate is much like Endurable with a little more offensive focus, and Wise is a good all around nature that is just a tad worse then Debonair or Discreet.

Why prefer certain stats over others?

One of the most discussed topics is Defense vs. HP. While Defense and Special Defense decrease the ammount of damage you take for a specific type of attack, Health is functioning is a universal defensive stat. One of the most common ways to fight a wall is inflicting damaging status effects on them, namely Poison, Bleeding and Burning.
all of those effects lower some of your monsters stats - including Defense and Special Defense - and damage you for a certain percentage of your Hitpoints at the end of each round.
Now, while the ongoing damage will always be a percentage and therefor does not matter that much - the decrease in defensive stats does!

That basically means: The higher your defensive stats are, the higher the ammount that will lost (like the 10% from poison). If you do only count those defensive values to protect you without having sufficient hitpoints, you will end up dead quite fast (or at least faster then with having some good hp on top).
Also, purely based on math, when comparing Debonair or Discreet with Blockhead:

Blockhead has a total of 60% statbonus (every +1 in the nature description stands for a 10% increase in that stat) versus each Physical and Special Attacks.
Debonair / Discreet on the other Hand, while having +30% in Defense / Special Defense, boost Health as universal stat by 40% as well.
So you end up with a 70% statbonus against both types of attacks, giving you more total percentage of defensive value.

I hope you enjoyed the first week of "Dans thoughts" and will tune in next week as well - the topic will be competitive drake dancers!

If you want to comment or share your own thoughts, i will soon create a separate thread where you can post.

sincerely, Dan

The trainer ranking system is a great feature in itself, but there are so many players that bumping you're name up to somewhere recognizable will take quite some work. I've taken it upon myself to just create an achievement list to basically guide a player into the right direction and build them up as they complete the achievements. You may post suggestions for the list as well.
"What a hit" - Inflict over 900 damage in one move.
"I am Cornholio!" - own a monster with the maximum amount of TP (799 total).
"Stop hitting yourself" - have an enemy monster KO itself out of confusion in PvP.

Okay, the point of this thread is to help everyone tp train quick and easy. I will let everyone know the best maps to tp train; all the maps here i found on my own no one helped me, but i would like to help everyone in this community. My theory is that the quickest way to tp train is in a place that has the most likely hood of the certain monster to appear, with that being said lets begin.

lets start with defense and special defense tp training

.If you are building a wall, then central plains is the place for you. within central plains, use a monster radar to fight novairy and satelliary. novairy gives def tp, and satelliary gives sp def tp, the encounter rate of these two monsters is extremely high so you will rarely encounter any other monster therefore getting faster results.

next in line is speed tp training

.speed tp training can be the fastest tp training you ever do. What you want to do is go to eagle ponds and use the monster radar, there you will fight movers, the encounter rate of these monsters is absolute, you will get speed tp training done faster than any other tp training due to this.

now lets move on to special attack tp training

.Special attack is also fairly easy to train, the best way to go is using a perfect net at south beachhead, you shall fight Heshishloo; once again the chances of encountering this monster are extremely high

lastly is attack tp training

.The best map to train attack tp is at south spur, there you will use the monster radar and fight 3 certain monsters blasheep, luxcatty, and snaplant. All three of those monsters give attack tp and the likely hood of them showing is great.

I dont have a special hp tp training spots because hp tp really never needs to be trained, it usually only needs a certain amount of tp on a wall so you can always buy nutrition's of the amount you need, you should never need 400 tp on health, the most you should ever need is 200 and that is the amount you can buy.

well there is my personal list of tp training hot spots, i hope you all use them and make tp training a lot easier on yourselves, enjoy .

I realize there are many places noobs can go to learn. But This is just a list and personal link for myself so I can link these players to what I think they should learn off the bat to become better.

1) Buttons.
In the bottom left of your screen, or in chat. You can click on the map icon, or the yellow text next to your name, telling you the zone that your in to bring up a map. This map is EXTREMELY helpful in telling you what types of monsters are out there, and also what TP (Trainer points) are given for killing a monster of each type.

2) TRAINER POINTS
What are trainer points? Well, they are points that you get for killing monsters, or you can buy nutrition pills from the shop. Nutrition pills can boost your trainer points by 200 points in a skill, but no higher .You can add 200 points to different skills, but you cannot add more than 200 points in a single type of attribute by pills...which means you need to go kill stuff.

Also, you can degrade your TP in other attributes you do not want to have TP points in. Such as if your monster uses physical type attacks, you may not want to have spatk TP points. So you can buy the degrade TP point items in shop as well to take out unwanted TP.

You may have a total of 400 TP in a single attribute. But you may only have a maximum of 799 TP overall.

Why are trainer points important you may ask? They boost
your attributes immensely. About 4 trainer points = 1 real stat point on
your monster. So if you want your monster to have a lot of health, you
can put 400 trainer points into his health TP spot and he will gain 100+
health.

3) UV's
UV's are unique values. Every monster you have will have a different set of UV's. These UV's Boost those attributes by 1 point per UV. You want to make sure that your monster has good UV's in the type of damage it will be doing, or the type of tanking, walling, or soaking up damage with defense it should be having. You cannot alter uvs by regular methods, so...whatever the UVs are, they will stay there.

4) Natures
Natures are the most important aspect of the game when finding monsters. You can find a list of the natures each monster may have by visiting this link: http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Natures.htm

Each nature has different attributes it may alter. 1 point in a nature refers to a 10% gain or decrease in that stat.

So, for instance, trembling nature, has +6 to attack, speed, and health. This means your monster will have lots of first hits, lots of damage, and lots of health.

However....trembling nature also carries -6 to defenses and special attack. This means that your monster will not take hits very well, and may die very quickly, and also will not do very well by using special attack type of moves.

6) Monster Types
This is personally the best part of the game for me. Monsters have types depending on rarity. The rarity of a monster correlates to how good it will be all around in battle. A regular monster, does not have nearly as good of stats as say a emissary would.

On the map that you are on, (click the button I told you about in the first part of this forum topic): You will see next to the monsters listed, what type they are. If they are regular, superior, emissary, zenith or legendary.

In order of rarity on the map it goes:
Regular:
Superior: Not bad for new players to use...
Emissary: These are the types new players should try and find with good stats and natures
Zenith: Level these up if you find one as a new player, no matter the nature, it will be semi good.
Legendary:
Ancient(not added in yet):

You can then search for these types of monsters on your map by looking under what category of the map they are listed on, and how to catch or find them. You may need to use items such as monster player, monster radar, or different types of nets to find the monster you want.

Zeniths usually award 10,000 - 80,000 experience per kill (or capture), and gold.

Legendary monsters also provide LOTS of experience if you kill or capture them, and they provide sometimes over 100,000 gold.

GOOD LUCK and good hunting.

If this is your first day in this game, as a fellow trainer, I welcome you.

So ,you have probably heard about 2 moves : Hyper Surf and Stone Smash.
A lot of players will offer you monsters for 10,000 gold or less, with low levels but they know those moves,
and that is a trick i watched happen for a thousand time.
however, after u get stronger and know more about the game you will change your monsters and i mean all of them, you bet, so then u have no choice, you will have to buy the 2 moves.
My tip; is you go vote, click on 100.000 gold and complete the vote.
congrats now you have 100 k of gold, go to the market: buy "stone smash" and "hyper surf"; 50 k each...
This is the best way to do it, believe me.
