Monster of the Week: Gampha
MONSTER OF THE WEEK

What

will this consist of? Well hopefully this will be a way to accumulate

strategies for monsters in the game to help you, the player, become a

better pvper. So post strategies you think the designated monster would

be good for.

Please include:

1) nature

2) TPs spread

3) item held

4) moveset

5) Description of strategy

Note: Please include everything, especially the strategy of the moveset

RE: Monster of the Week: Gampha
Knife dance Gampha

Nature: Mirage

TP's: 100 attack 200 sp def 200 def 300 hp

Held Item: Dark Orb (to minimize damage taken while buffing)

Move Set: Sky Slash/Hidden Punch, Shadow Blade, Black Mist, Knife Dance

Strategy: This Gampha is actually kinda neat. In theory you would Knife dance up on something that doesn't threaten Gampha (anything with a bug type move) and proceed to sweep with Sky Slash which has 1000 acc or hit this with a S.T.A.B. Shadow blade and potentially bleed them out.
Black Mist is on the set for def/sp def buff spammers, but understand that it will also take away any Attack buff you have accumulated w/ Knife Dance. If you run into a Def/SpDef buffer you could simply Black mist it, hit it with a Shadow Blade till it bleeds and then watch it fade out.

RE: Monster of the Week: Gampha
My ideal gampha Smile :

Nature : trembling | tp spread : 400 atk. 200 speed 199 hp | held item : Razor claw | moveset : hidden punch , knife dance , venom punch , black mist

strategy : maybe you guys already have seen that gampha has the ablity : fighting eager... that's why i choose trembling. Because fighting eager is like moxie in pokemon : when you defeat a monster , than your atk. raises and with trembling gampha you can defeat a monster fast. hidden punch is always a nice move cause it has 1000 accurary. knife dance raises your atk. stat. That is very useful cause than you can take out a foe even faster and your atk. raises faster too Wink. black mist is useful when you must defeat a blockhead monster with stone skin and double time. and an other ablity of gampha is poison master.... sow that's why the last move is venom punch.

RE: Monster of the Week: Gampha
Nature: Debonair

UV's:

HP: 40 or better
Attack : 35 or better
Defence: 40 or better
Sp Attack : N/A
Sp Defence: 40 or better
Speed: N/A

TP's:

HP: 199
Defence: 300
Sp Defence: 300

Moveset:

Hidden Punch
Black Mist
Sky Slash
Revenge Time

or
Knife Dance instead of Sky Slash

Held Item: Dark Orb / Razor Claw / Vampiric Weapon

Strategy: Essentially build your own attack , let people attack you , revenge time does double damage if your monster has been hit, so since this would be a wall, you would always be hit first (for the most part). Knife Dance makes your attack go up and then you just start sweeping with sky slash and hidden punch, both of which cannot miss. Black mist is their for stack walls, so you would use that to keep them in line and just hit them without stacked attack, hence why you need good attack uv so that you an actually do damage.
You dare Challenge ME ?

RE: Monster of the Week: Gampha
1) nature: Quantum

2) uvs spread: 400 special attack, 400 special defense

3) item held: Dark Crystal

4) moveset
  • Clear Mind or perhaps charged ray
  • Lightening Bolt
  • Mind Bend
  • Ignite
5) Description of strategy: He could be special attack wall if he had time to set up with clear mind. If the opponent tried to set up a wall he would attack with darkness ball. If the opponent was easy to take down he would attack with mind bend.
